Not even a little. Most of my students walk in with zero beauty background — some are stay-at-home moms, some are still in high school, some are full-time cosmetologists adding a new service. The whole class is built from the ground up, so wherever you're starting, you'll leave knowing exactly what you're doing.
One full day. We start the morning with your equipment, solutions, and technique, then spend the afternoon spraying real models so you can practice every part of the process with me right there coaching you. You'll leave the same day with your certification and your first portfolio piece.
Yes — and honestly, the numbers surprise people. A spray tan takes about 15 minutes, costs around $3–$5 in product, and most artists charge $35–$65 per tan. Once you're booked even a few nights a week, the math gets really fun. I'll show you exactly how to price, book, and grow.
You don't disappear from my world — I'm with you for the long haul. Ask me anything, anytime. Refresher questions, technique help, pricing advice, what to do when something weird happens mid-tan — I've probably been through it. Lifetime support is real, not a marketing line.

At Paul Mitchell The School Rexburg — 557 Mariah Ave, Rexburg, Idaho. Students travel in from across Eastern Idaho and Western Wyoming for class. If you're coming from far away, message me and I'll point you to good places to stay.
Yes — I travel up to 30 miles from Rexburg for in-home appointments. There's a $15 travel fee added to your service. Beyond 30 miles, message me and we'll work something out.
With proper care — gentle washes, daily moisturizer, no long hot baths or chlorine — 7 to 10 days. I'll walk you through everything before you leave.
